Harkaway Cottages
Posted by Blackwater Valley Tourism on Sep 19, 2011 in | Comments OffHarkaway Cottages are in a traditional courtyard setting. They comprise of 3 groups of semi detached cottages each named after the families who farmed our land since the early 1800′s. We invite you to share in our history and culture.
Our cottages are stone built using stone quarried on our farm. The courtyard also has a games room in the converted coach house with pool table, airhockey, footballtable and radio. This is an ideal place to meet with other guests.
Come and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the Irish countryside and relax in one of our traditional stone cottages. Garden with mature woodland. Pheasant, partridge, rabbits and hares will accompany you as you stroll our Farm Nature Trail. Savour the aroma of wild honesuckle in the evening air or pick wild blackberries in season.
