Longueville House
Posted by Blackwater Valley Tourism on Sep 19, 2011 in | Comments OffSet in 500 acres of wooded estate in the heart of the Blackwater Valley, Longueville House is a 1720 Listed Georgian Heritage Mansion owned and run by the O’Callaghan family, your hosts with 14 bedrooms and six junior suites for you to enjoy.
The Presidents’ Restaurant, the heart of Longueville, presents a menu offering the freshest produce from the walled garden, farm and river, and the kitchen is supervised by patron William O’Callaghan whose innovative style is widely commended in various international food guides
and magazines. His priceless experience is allied to a firm belief in same-day freshness. That’s why your vegetables, fruit and herbs come straight from our two-acre walled garden and your lamb and salmon come direct from the Longueville farm and the Blackwater River that runs through the estate. You can even enjoy our Apple Brandy and Artisan Cider both home grown and made on-site!
Guests may enjoy dining in the recently renovated Victorian Turner Conservatory (1862) during warmer weather which has been beautifully and aesthetically restored to its former glory.
The property opens Wednesday to Sunday inclusive throughout the year. However the hotel will open for groups in excess of 20 Guests on Mondays/Tuesdays by prior arrangement on a half board basis (Dinner, B&B).
